Limbaugh outs mainstream media over its ‘phony’ praise of George H. W. Bush

(National SentinelFake News: Since the passing of former President George H. W. Bush, the so-called “mainstream media” has come out in praise of the man and his leadership, but it wasn’t always that way.

In fact, in the 1980s and early 1990s, when Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bush were in office, the Leftist mainstream media was vicious, accusatory, and lacking in any praise whatsoever — just like they are today when it comes to POTUS Donald Trump.

The reason? Republican presidents don’t get a pass like Democrat presidents do. And talk radio legend Rush Limbaugh called them out for their “phony” praise of Bush 41 during Fox News segment Monday evening.

When host Shannon Bream noted that the coverage of Bush’s legacy has been mostly positive, even “fawning,” Limbaugh — whose career was just beginning to take off in the late 1980s — said, “They never treated him this way when he was president.”

The media was “vicious and partisan” to Bush 41 while he was in office, as they are to every Republican, Limbaugh pointed out.

“I think it’s just a vehicle for them, Shannon, to be able to contrast what they think Trump is versus the way they’re telling us Bush was,” Limbaugh said.

“The thing is that they never treated George W. Bush this way or George H.W. Bush, either one of them, this way. They had just as much animus for Bush 41 and Bush 43 as they do Trump, for different reasons.”

The media’s purpose in life is to get rid of POTUS Trump any way possible, so for now that includes contrasting his style with that of the Bush presidents.

“Which by the way, what they’re saying about [the Bushes] now is true. All of the class and all the dignity [and] all the sophistication, but they never reported on him this way when he was president,” Limbaugh said.

He did note that because of Bush 41’s class he didn’t “fight back” when he was unfairly attacked — a quality that POTUS Trump does possess, however, and which led to his legions of supporters, in part.

“Republican voters have just been frustrated that candidates they elect don’t fight back. And when Republican candidates don’t fight back, they’re also not defending Republican voters,” Limbaugh said. “So here comes Trump doing what Republican voters have wished Republican candidates would do for 25 or 30 years. And it’s really not a mystery why he won.”
