With less square footage, less wasted space, less expensive heating/ cooling bills and less impact on the environment, tiny houses are becoming a popular alternative to large, more expensive traditional homes (there’s even a new TV show about tiny houses).

What are tiny houses?

Tiny houses are homes that are smaller than the typical American home. To put it in perspective, the typical American home today is approximately 2500-3000 square feet. The average tiny house ranges from about 100-200 square feet.
