(National Sentinel) Better Deal: Democrats are always claiming that they, not Republicans, are the ‘party of the working class.’ Well, they’ll have a chance to prove it in just a few short months.
Recall that POTUS Donald Trump and his administration announced in early October that a deal had been struck with Mexico and Canada to replace NAFTA, which the president has described as one of the worst trade arrangements in U.S. history.
Now the agreement will go before the respective lawmaking bodies in all three countries for final approval before it takes effect.
As for POTUS, he’s not giving Congress much leeway; he announced earlier this month that he would be withdrawing from NAFTA, thereby putting pressure on lawmakers to approve the new agreement, the U.S., Mexico, Canada Agreement, or USMCA.
Democrats will control the House in just a few weeks, so passage of the new agreement comes down to whether or not they really do support working men and women in America — or if their love of party above all else will instead guide their actions.
But there’s another reason for Democrats to approve the new trade agreement, as POTUS Trump reminded them in a tweet on Thursday: Funding for the border wall.

Trump supporters actually heard this pledge during the president’s 2016 campaign, but partisan Democrats are loathe to remember that pledge.
So now they have an opportunity to redeem themselves: Support the president’s renegotiated NAFTA deal and pay for the border wall at the same time or continue to be Marxist partisans who harm American growth, jobs, and workers.
