Corsi slams Mueller with massive $350 million suit; alleges leaks and illegal surveillance

(National SentinelCounterpunch: Conservative author and pundit Dr. Jerome Corsi filed a massive $350 million lawsuit against Robert Mueller on Sunday, alleging that the special counsel illegally put him under surveillance, among other charges.

As reported by The Hill, Corsi — in documents filed in the District Court for the District of Columbia — also alleged that Mueller’s office leaked confidential information regarding Corsi’s testimony before the grand jury for the special counsel.

“Defendant Mueller and his prosecutorial and media staff, acting in their official capacity and personally, also illegally released grand jury information to harm Plaintiff Corsi by attempting to destroy his reputation and personal and professional well-being and livelihood, thus also attempting to drive him into bankruptcy,” the document reads in part.

The suit has also been filed against the Justice Department, the FBI, the NSA, and the CIA.

The suit comes after Corsi filed a complaint with the DoJ regarding Mueller, requesting that a criminal and ethics investigation be opened.

In the suit, Corsi said that Mueller’s team took actions “intended to coerce, extort, threaten and/or blackmail him into submission and designed to remove the current president of the United States for political and other improper purposes.”

The suit also alleges that the various intelligence agencies and the FBI “have engaged in ongoing illegal, unconstitutional surveillance” on Corsi, in violation of his Fourth Amendment rights as well as other U.S. laws.

Finally, the suit alleges that Mueller’s team has illegally leaked information to the media regarding Corsi.

The Hill noted further:

The document pointed to an ABC News article about the special counsel’s examination of Corsi, claiming it included details that “could only possibly have come from Defendant Mueller.”

Those details include that Corsi has become a “central person of interest” to the special counsel, and that Mueller had evidence suggesting that Corsi had prior knowledge of WikiLeaks’ release of hacked emails from Clinton campaign chair John Podesta.

Corsi, who said last month he expected Mueller to indict him, has become the first person to push back against Mueller.

POTUS Donald Trump has recently tweeted about Corsi as a means of lashing out against Mueller’s “witch hunt” probe.
