Roughly $200 billion is spent annually in the U.S. on surveillance and monitoring. Humans can’t do it. A human looking at a surveillance camera for more than 20 minutes has been shown to miss 95% of the activity that he’s supposed to be catching. An entire industry has sprung up in the automation of this monitoring.
