India successfully test-fires new gen Agni Prime ballistic missile

According to various Indian media, India successfully tested the new generation nuclear-capable Agni Prime ballistic missile from Dr APJ Abdul Kalam island off the coast of Odisha, according to an official statement issued on December 18 by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The surface ballistic missile, having a range of 1,000 to 2,000 km, was tested in Balasore.
