According to information published by the British Royal Navy on August 21, 2020, British Navy 2nd Maritime Air Wing has been formally commissioned at RAF Shawbury in Shropshire to oversee the training of British Naval, RAF (Royal Air Force) and Army Air Corps helicopter pilots – turning men and women with a basic knowledge of flight into skilled aviators ready to handle front-line machines.
