VIPER lab will soon conduct experiments on rotocraft drivetrains. This work is part of larger efforts to improve efficiency and reduce weight of vehicle transmitions. The testbed will allow for research on a number of vertical takeoff and landing platforms, including the UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter (Picture source: US Army) |
