More than 1,600 service members from 30 African and Western nations celebrated the accomplishments of exercise Flintlock 2020 in Nouakchott, Mauritania. The African-led exercise is designed to strengthen the ability of key partner nations in the region to counter violent extremist organizations, protect their borders and provide security for their people.
