US, Japan launch exercise Northern Viper

Japan and U.S. armed forces will conduct training exercise Northern Viper at Hokudaien and Yausubetsu Training Areas in the Hokkaido Prefecture of Japan from Jan. 26 to Feb. 8, 2020. The forces will conduct a bilateral, combined arms exercise and live-fire training in conjunction with ground and aviation units by utilizing the favorable training foundation of Hokkaido. 1st Lt Brett Vannier, 3rd Marine Division, reports.
