YOUNGEST COMMANDER ANNY DIVYA IS A ROLE MODEL FOR EVERY ENTREPRENEUR

She had a dream. She wanted to fly and she did.

30 year old Anny Divya has skillfully dismantled stereotypes to achieve her childhood dream of becoming a pilot. This Air India employee holds the honor of being the youngest female commander of the Boeing 777 aircraft.

We all have some success stories and failures — but we have to focus on what we need and to keep learning.

At the young age of 17, Anny Divya applied to a flying school fueled by her passion and determination to succeed. But getting selected was just the beginning of a very long and tiring journey. Having never received any form of training or teaching in the field, Anny Divya was a fresher with no flying background and nobody to teach her. Apart from that she also had to face language and cultural changes, hailing from the small city of Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. She faced her challenges head on and grew stronger because of them. Now, she has been flying internationally for over a decade and is the youngest commander of the Boeing 777.

This is an inspiring story of a young girl who achieved her dreams through sheer determination and will power to succeed at all costs. Her story is not that different from the various success stories of the many buoyant entrepreneurs from around the world. Her story resonates with the stories of Bill Gates, who ventured into the world of business at the age of 15 and with the story of Richard Branson, who despite being dyslexic, published his first magazine ‘Student’ at the age of 16. She had one dream. Anny Divya held on to it with all her worth and came out flying.

Anny Divya had a big dream but she also had the determination, work ethic commitment to see her dream succeed. “I wanted to become a pilot, I was very determined to just do it.” But she was also very fortunate to have a very supportive family. Anny Divya did achieve her dream of flying and flying high but she’s nowhere near done. There are still a lot of things left for her to achieve including flying new aircraft with more advanced technology and becoming a trainer.

I want guys, girls, everybody to achieve their dream and if you want to become a pilot you need to have a passion for this.”

It is easy to dream. But the route to success has never been easy. No matter how many life hacks or tips or advice or opportunities you receive, only the determination to succeed will take you to the top and that is what Anny Divya’s story can teach all entrepreneurs. It is important to learn the nuances of the trade but without the zeal, no amount of skill will be useful.
