Russia has blocked IP addresses owned by Google and Amazon as they were being used by messaging service Telegram, Russia’s state communications regulator said. Russia earlier banned Telegram for not giving the government the ability to read users’ encrypted messages. “A significant number of IP addresses located in the clouds of these two…have fallen under the block,” the regulator said.
