Several countries, including India, were hacked to display an image of the US flag on screens, the Iranian IT ministry said on Saturday. The image was displayed along with a warning, “Don’t mess with our elections”. The attack apparently affected 200,000 router switches globally, including 3,500 switches in Iran, the ministry said in a statement.
