US-based auditing company PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) cleared Facebook’s privacy practices in an assessment completed in 2017 of the period in which social media major’s user data was leaked to Cambridge Analytica, filings have revealed. “Facebook’s privacy controls were operating with sufficient effectiveness,” PwC said. Earlier, it was found the data was exploited to influence the US elections.
