(National Sentinel) Ludicrous: The Democrat-aligned Deep State must really be getting nervous that POTUS Donald Trump is going to be around for another term based on the machinations and actions of a once-little-known federal agency.
In case you didn’t know, there is a United States Office of Special Counsel, and no, it doesn’t involve Robert Mueller. No, this office’s sole duty is to troll government employees, appointees, and officials for violations of the Hatch Act of 1939.
That’s the federal law which prohibits employees in the executive branch of the federal government, except the president, vice-president, and certain designated high-level officials, from engaging in some forms of political activity.
Well, the OSC just found no fewer than a half-dozen Trump administration officials guilty of violating the act, and for the most innocuous (ridiculous?) of reasons: They dared to tweet “MAGA” from their government-supplied devices.
The office concluded that deputy press secretary Raj Shah, President Trump’s executive assistant Madeleline Westerhoust, Vice President Pence’s press secretary Alyssa Farah, White House Deputy Director of Communications Jessica Ditto and two others violated the Hatch Act, according to The Hill. The office said in March it considered the phrase political and thus, illegal under the act.

The Hill noted further:
The OSC decided not to pursue disciplinary action against any of the officials since they deleted their posts once they became aware of the violation.
“They all have been advised that if in the future they engage in prohibited political activity while employed in a position covered by the Hatch Act, we will consider such activity to be a willful and knowing violation of the law, which could result in further action,” the OSC wrote in the ruling.
It’s come to this.
The complaints were lodged by CREW — Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington — a Left-wing organization that exists solely to harass conservative Republican administrations and lawmakers.
The hypocrisy of the OSC’s rulings was not lost on Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch. He tweeted, “Deep State finds WH officials violated Hatch Act law for tweeting #MAGA. Absurd/abusive reading of the law–anything to get @RealDonaldTrump. Meanwhile, Obama gang who used their offices at FBI/DOJ, etc. to help HRC and attack Trump remain uninvestigated.”

If Barack Obama performed any public service to the nation whatsoever, it was opening our eyes to the fact that yes, we do have two systems of government: One for the well-connected and Deep State, and one for the rest of us plebes.
