Students at the University of Tokyo have developed a hover backpack called Lunavity which helps users jump 2-3 times higher than normal. The non-functioning prototype uses circular rotors to provide enough downward thrust to let the wearer jump higher and for longer than normal. The developers claimed that Lunavity wearer would be able to jump over a crosswalk.
