Eurostat has released data showing that EU Member States imported €166 billion worth of clothing in 2018, just over half of which came from outside the EU.China was the largest non-EU source country, accounting for €27 billion or clothing imports or 32 percent of the total. It was followed by Bangladesh with €16 billion (19 percent) and Turkey's €10 billion (12 percent).
