Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro smartphones in India last month, which went on sale exclusively on Flipkart as well as Mi.com from February 22nd, and the company said that over 3 lakh units sold out within minutes. Today Xiaomi has announced that it will remove Cash-on-delivery (COD) payment option for the upcoming Redmi Note 5 Pro sales on Mi.com and Flipkart initially. The company said that this move is an experiment to restrict reselling and also said that this would give its genuine consumers a better chance at purchasing its products.
