A Piece Of Paper Folded 103 Times Is As Thick As The Universe

Here is an amazing fact that might surprise you; if you could fold a piece of usual paper 42 times you would have a tower that would touch the moon?

Well it’s just one of the remarkable illustrations of exponential progression given by Nikola Slavkovic in the video below. You might say, but it is almost impossible to fold a piece of typical paper more than eight times. Just like so many un-referenced statements, that isn't true. The record is actually 12. Still that 12-fold piece of paper isn't even the height of a table; it's tough to visualize getting from there to the Moon in 30 folds. That's because our brains are motivated to ponder linearly, not exponentially.
