The Russian Air Force continued its aerial harassment of the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) on Saturday morning, striking a large oil convoy near the town of Al-Sukhanah in northeastern Homs. According to a report from the Syrian Air Force, the Russian airstrike destroyed a half dozen supply trucks that were transporting oil reserves from the Deir Ezzor Governorate to the Al-Raqqa Governorate in order to sell this on the black market. The Russian Air Force has constantly targeted the terrorist group’s oil supply routes along Sukhanah-Sufayah Road that leads to Al-Raqqa Governorate; this has made it difficult for ISIL to transport these oil reserves.
