Hours after liberating Kafr Saghir and its nearby points from the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in northern Aleppo, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) discovered 18 militant corpses that were not evacuated during the terrorist group’s frantic retreat on Sunday.
Among the identified corpses that were discovered by the Syrian Armed Forces on Sunday was the ISIL leader “Abu Anas Al-Jazeri” (Algerian) – he led the terrorist group’s assault on the important village of Kafr Saghir.
In addition to the 18 ISIL corpses that were discovered, the Syrian Armed Forces reported that upwards around 30 terrorists were killed during Kafr Saghir’s liberation on late Sunday afternoon.
The Syrian Armed Forces are in full control of Kafr Saghir, Babinnis, and their surrounding checkpoints to the east; however, the ISIL threat still remains due to their large presence in the Al-Bab Plateau and the Aleppo Infantry School.
