The launch of ballistic missiles by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on 17 March is “another clear violation” of UN Security Council resolutions, the EU said.
“We call again on the DPRK to refrain from actions that increase tensions in the region and threaten international peace and security,” the EU said on 18 March.
The DPRK must halt any launch using ballistic missile technology and abandon its ballistic missile programmes “in a complete, verifiable, and irreversible manner”, it said, adding that the 28 EU nations will co-ordinate with its partners on how to respond to the violations.
