The planning for the third International Conference on the History of Freemasonry in 2011 is underway, and will be held at the George Washington Masonic Memorial in Alexandria, Virginia May 26-30th, 2011.The first two bi-annual conferences were held in Edinburgh, Scotland in 2007 and 2009, but it was always the plan for the conference to move around the world. The 2011 event being held in Alexandria, just a few miles from Washington D.C., gives Freemasons and those with an academic interest in the fraternity an outstanding opportunity to explore the rich Masonic heritage that can be found there.
