Iran has imposed a “total ban” on messaging app Telegram, saying it has become a safe haven for international terrorist groups including Islamic State. It added the company operating the messenger repeatedly refused to cooperate with the country’s authorities. Last year, Iran launched a criminal probe against Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, saying the app provides services to terrorist groups.
